Default Another Canadian Hero in Afghanistan

"Raised in Canada, and trying to make a difference in Afghanistan" ... it sounds like the beginning of a story about one of many thousands of our troops who have served over there, but this story has a little different twist.

A young Afghan/Canadian lady, Mozhdah Jamalzadah, who was raised in Canada, has gone back to Afghanistan to try to make a difference, and risks her life every day by doing so.

There are many Canadian heroes in Afghanistan. Alongside all our Canadian Troops, and many others, I also include Mozhdah Jamalzadah.

Her story is quite compelling ... when you get a chance, I encourage you to read it; http://ca.news.yahoo.com/canadian-ra...ghanistan.html

I'd think the Taliban would LOVE to get to her. She's got more nerve than I do.

Yeah, they would probably hate her for having some self respect and doing something with her life, knowing how to read and write is a blemish in their sick minds.
Could not imagine the women in my life, daughter, mother, sisters, and friends being subjected to the type of treatment women in sharia law countries have to deal with.
Lots of respect for the young lady in question.

One wonders where the Judy Rebicks, the Margret Atwoods, the Wendy Cukier's and a bunch of other feminists from the CBC are not in support of this poor girl.

My answer is that is that it is currently cool to like Sharia Law in some parts of Canada

It is nothing more than a liberal flavour of the week.

These Canadian feminists don't give a darn about their fellow women.

All they want is that money from accrues from standing at the trough.

Shame Shame

I'd call it 'True Grit', but I guess it's all the same.

I'm surprised none of the AOF Lady Folk have commented yet. It would be a shame if only us guys expressed support.

Anywayz ... CNN recently did a good docu-vid on Mozhdah; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FDyO...eature=related
