Sounds like a good night to me.
Sure hope mommy and Gaige come home soon.

Yikes thats scary and very serious situation . I know I had this earlier this summer as well as MRSA , made for a real joy for the docs to treat . But can happily say after fighting the battle of a lifetime and lots of pills and shots , and IV and antibiotics I got threw it . Hope your Daughter recovers , there's no doubt in my mind that with our family here and a family like yours Mike she will over come this . Your family and Daughter will be in our thoughts and prayers , and look forward to some positive feed back in coming days .

Default Helping children

Hope all turns out well for the little man. Every year we donate to the Stollery Children Hospital in Edmonton, that way we help many children and worried parents.

Gaige is making good progress...

He has been seen by two pediatricians and is the consensus is that he will come home next week if things stay on the same path...

He has been eating well and getting better each day.

Later on he will need to get a dye test for kidney/bladder reflux, but for now we are happy he is fighting hard.

To have bacteria in your blood is very bad,...

I work in the lab, and when you hear the alarm go off on the blood culture incubator (positive for bacteria) your heart just sinks... when I found out it was my own little guy with positive blood cultures, I didn't know what to do...

...but that is all water flowing down stream and we are fighting our way upstream.

Thanks to everyone.

Mike,

Sure hope Gaige is coming along. Soon this will all be past you all and not leaving any lasting marks on your little man.

Did your parents make it into the province okay?

Just think soon he will be out there with you hunting.

Best of luck to you and your family.

If there is anything any of us can do let us know.

Jennifer

Glad to hear that things are going the right way for your little guy.
Having dealt with the worst case , I can totally understand the fear/frustration/worries/and helpless feelings you have been dealing with.

Remember that it takes a lot out of them when they are sick because they are smaller, but they seem to have the biggest fight to survive in them.

May your little one be home and healthy soon!

Karen
