Hunting Regulation Question

So, if I was out hunting for black bears during the fall seasons and my shot
Gun holds 5 rounds and I came across a grouse and loaded some bird shot would it be illegal to shot the grouse since the rege state I can only have a shot gun that has a max of 3 for chamber and magazine? I have all the tags/permits for both bear and bird and both seasons are open.

Just keep your plug in and have 3 slugs in, the odds of you getting 5 shots at a bear or pretty slim anyway.

Yup, keep it simple stupid because the day you have your plugged pulled and a bird in your hand well its not a good day when the fish cop walks up....
