Default Ice Fishing Around Medicine Hat

Hey Folks,

I recently moved to the hat from Edmonton! Hunting season was great here! The deer certainly abound.

I am hoping to get out this winter and do some ice fishing with my kids. Does anyone have any recommendations fairly close to the city? Hopefully somewhere where we would catch some fish .

I am thinking about checking out Rattlesnake Lake / Sauder Reservoir. Is that a good idea? Any advice is welcome!

Thanks!

Rattlesnake has perch, walleye and pike. The trout lakes of Cypress Hills have trout. The only lake I would shy from is Cavan, it is almost always low. Check the fishing reg's it has the lakes listed.
