The little 250 Savage is a great little cartridge, I have taken deer, black bear and moose.
The moose took two shots, the first shot in the right lung was likely a kill shot, when it turned and showed the left lung, I shot again.
It took about five steps a keeled over.
Shot placement is everything in any cartridge.
