Default Hornady 265gr FP .430" Interlock

For those of you shooting the 444 Marlin and using these bullets, They have now been discontinued by Hornady. They are forcing us to use the FTX bullet. I bought the last box from P&D yesterday.
I am not sure if any other manufacturer makes a suitable 44cal .430" bullet. I have had good luck with the Hornady.

Would you mind sharing what bullet you are using as well as where to buy them.
I would also like to know about cast bullets. I have talked to Jet Bullets in Wetaskiwin and he says that people have bought the 310gr gas checked, but has no reviews on it.
Thanks for your input.

Most of the commercial bullets that diameter are meant to be used at pistol velocities and may not hold up well out of the 444. If I were to load for one again I would certainly be using cast. Jet Bullets stuff is of excellent quality in my experience.

Yeah, heard about that. Got four boxes, so should be good for a while.

Barnes make a 300 grain Flat Point in .429 if you want that type of bullet. Bullet Barn also makes some excellent cast bullets for the 444. You can get them gas checked or not, and swaged to custom diameter.

The Hornady 265gr was developed for the .444 Gun shows will turn up a few boxes if you're patient to wait out the corona scare.A 1-20 twist would have more intelligent instead of the pistol 1-38" from the get go.There is a 300gr Partition as well.

Nosler does not make a partition in .429 anymore. There is a 300 gr. Swift A frame though, it is a pistol bullet but I imagine it would be solid enough to do well in the marlin.

I’m shooting some cast Beathtooth Bullets 355gr and 330gr, both sizes to .432
Have shot an elk and a moose with them and nothing went more than 40 yards
Great bullets

If you go on the Marlin gun forum there is a .444 section and some really good testing done on the different bullets available, heavy and light bullets
