Same areas that Area G Troll was brutally kicked off the water by Wilkinson.
In the guise of "conservation".

That pig no longer flies...

Also happens to be the same areas the recreational sector was booted out of for "conservation" concerns.

A COMPLETE LIE all the way around...

What is SOOO FUNNY is that you do not know that a lot of the Commercial fishing boats will be "Contractors" for the bands, and will be flying the First Nations Flag during the opening.

Then the "Contractors" will be paid piece meal.

There still is a commercial opening, just a kick back has to be paid to the FN's to be contractors for them. Essentially, the FN's do not even touch a fish until it is on the docks, and the catch is split up. That is the price the commercials have to pay to be able to play.

Now, Do you understand the irony of the FN opening? It has NOTHING to do with subsistence, just profit.

While what you suggest does happen, it is extremely limited in scope.
Many of Area G's fishermen are FN, and they will work this one.
Most of the Five Nations Fleet was purchased for them by the government. These are standard 40 foot trollers, run by Band Members. And they number around 45 or 50 at this point. There is very little wiggle room for anyone else to get in on that.

You are bang on regarding conservation / subsistence & profit.
