Default screw in chokes

Have a winchester Pigeon !@ ga with F/Chokes that is a safe queen. Considering having chokes done Any good recommendations rather than sending it to Briley in the USA
Any help/suggestions appreciated.

May not be a great idea, can devalue an upper end gun, could also be that if it's a featherweight style, you'll wind up with very thin barrel walls, even using thinwall chokes. Good idea to measure the barrel OD and find out the choke OD and see what wall thickness you have left there.

I looked at doing this and ended up buying a "new" 101 (actually several as it turned out)
The new model 101s are built in Belgium and by my experience anyway are pretty solid.
I have replaced the firing pins in mine but that is after several 10s of thousands of rounds and also during the time when Cheddite primers were having punch through problems

The value of a pigeon grade 101 is such that you could probably trade it for a modern gun already fitted with screw ins with only a small cash contribution

Not much selection of chokes for !@ gauge.

I had a set of Briley thin walls put in my 3200 at Precision Arms & Gunsmithing
in King City Ont. Whether its true or not but i was told he used to work for Briley and has a set of the square thread dies from briley.

Non the less I was extremely happy with his work. I also had him build me a couple tubes that are very nice as well.
