If its a nice warm day you can get over a full day of battery usage.

I was out the other day for 8 hours when it was cold and windy, had to replace the battery's 3 times.

I have used mine for over 12 hours without changing the Duracell batteries.

Another option, I've been using these for quite a few years problem free and no batteries.

3 of them for $10. They work fantastic
