Default Everyday - Almost

We eat wild game just about every day of some kind

Since last hunting season

Mom's antlope - cleaned up a couple months ago(my favorite meat)

My 1/2 bull moose - less than 5 lbs of burger left

My Mule Buck - 3 roasts and 8 lbs of burger left(exceptional deer meat)

I was raised on it, and my clan will be too.

If you count the saugage and jerky then it would be just about everyday. We have a roast or chops at least 2 times a week.

usually 2-3 times a week a meal of wild meat, usually once a week a meal of manitoba Walleye, and the other remaining store bought chemical plagued meat.

Given the fact that, for example ,in 05 between my wife and I we killed 5 deer in November, we ate it almost every day in one form or another, breakfast sausage, roasts, chops, stew meat, ground meat for burgers, lasagna, ham(deer)burger helper, pepperoni, jerky you name it. Venison rocks.

I was the healthiest and in the best physical condition when I ate only wild game. In past, I filled the freezer with birds, rabbits and several deer. Got me through the year without ever buying meats from the grocer. Saved a lot of money when I was a student.

I have not eaten as much wild game over the past couple of years and I notice the change in my health and overall fitness. It's scary to think of all the crap that gets into our bodies from the domesticated animals.

Default Health Issues

Both mother and I have slightly high cholesterol. The Dr said to lay off the red meat but if we ate wild meat to go ahead and eat as much as we wanted. I for one will not argue with a trained medical professional. About 3 times a week for us until it runs out and then its count the days till the next season

I would say the money I save on meat covers maybe 5% of the amount I spend on hunting and shooting gear/licenses/travel expenses
