Stubbs...........sweet Beemer! The guy that first mentored me into the tree biz when I was a teenager, was an old draft dodgin' long haired hippy yank that rode a '65 BMW with the huge protruding heads. I bumped into him two years ago in NS, and he is still riding the machine he bought new. Very cool bike.
Lucky, only a Ducati will put me back on 2 wheels again. Did a job this past summer where the neighbour had a limited edition 996. Number 47 or 200. 43miles on it as he had more money than balls..........sigh.

not street bikes - but...
Here's the herd outside of their stable:
Left to right: Suzuki DRZ400, Kawasaki Sherpa 250 & Yamaha TW200
the Suzuki DRZ going fishing:
and my wife herding bighorns on her TW200 at the top of the Spray Lake Road above Canmore:

oops
Before anyone gets offended - she was only getting around that herd of bighorns, giving them the widest berth possible - not 'herding' them or harassing them. They hang out on that road often and reluctantly move out of the way for vehicles all day long.

It's far from a street bike, but it's street legal...
I sure hope this weather holds, I'm dying to get it out of the shed.

Search the net for "motored bikes" there is alot of info out there. Bought the motor kit off eBay for $100 + $60 shipping from Vancouver to my place. Kit comes complete with everything you need to set up what you see in the picture. The great thing is that they are totally street legal in alberta as long as the cc's of the motor are no larger than 50 and limiting the speed to 30 k/hr, and you need to wear a helmut. No regristration is required.

Here is a picture of my dad, me helping and younger brother with his "motorcycle". Dad said on the flats and down hill it was fun to use but when you came to a hill you had to get up on the pedals and help it over. If too steep you had to push. Picture was take about 1958 in Guadeloupe, FWI. My hair is light colored again only not blonde this time.
