Default Last min. road trip.... with pics

Well come Saturday the ol' lady and I decided to go for a drive.... Turned out to be a long drive, damn near 900km. From Lacome to sask. crossing, then to Jasper ( over night, found some really good beer ). Then from Jasper to Hinton ( for fuel ) then south on the forestry trunk road back to Nordegg and return to Lacombe.

We went out looking for bears and didnt find a one. But here is what we did find. In no particular order.

By Shunda creek, used to fish there years ago. now its all developed.

what a beautiful sight

typical tourist pic.

Not quite legal.

They didnt want to move so I had to drive around them.

In jasper...

Bull with 2 cows, they are far off.

Lone doe.

Seen a S@#t load of animals, most of them out of the park. But didnt want to get carried away posting pics.

The deer in the first pic is a whitetail doe with 3 of last years fawns, and in the last pic, a whitetail doe.

Those last minute road trips are the best. You don't spend the week ahead playing it up in your mind, and end up getting less than you expected. Every corner is exciting, and it looks like your trip was just that.

Thanks for the pics. I can't wait to get out for mine.
