Summer fly swap?
Is anyone doing one? The last couple were cool.
If anyone were to do it, maybe as people joined up they could put the name of the fly they were donating, so there was not 5 of the same pattern each time?
Also, if everyone sends a SASE in their envelope, it would not cost the person doing it anything.
Just a thought.

I'm in but we have to determine some limits:
How many people and what time frame? Need to give people enough time to get it done or you get those who say they want to participate and don't end up sending anything.
24 participants = 1 month?
More/less ???
Thoughts?

The 2 I did were a dozen people max, think there were 15 and 3 cancellations. The time limit was I believe 2-3 weeks, and if people can't meet the time frame don't say you are in.
Some of the flies I got were amazing, very talented guys out there. My favorite were the absolute tiny ones, very intricate. I would like to see a flyswap without a theme, whatever floats your boat is what you send.

You and 11 others tie a dozen flies, with description and your name on them, send them to whoever collects them, who then puts 1 of each of the dozen sase that we send him. You send 12 the same, get back 12 different ones.
It's cool.

I'm not sure what pattern to go with yet, thinking about my imitation of 'Chubbdarter's' "Blindman Stone". It was pictured in this forum on a thread about the San Juan worm.
That said, If the group is short on drys or terrestrials or something I could fill that void.
What is the consensus?
