Default Anyone have rod parts?

So, I usually run my line through my rod before making my way down to the river. A few days ago I opted not to, and to my dismay, when I arrived at the riverbank, my rod was missing the tip.

I spent the next hour combing the five minute bushwack I'd just come down, but no dice. It's amazing how every little stick looks like a rod section in such a situation.

So... I figured I'd ask. Has anyone got a tip section off of an otherwise defunct 4-piece 5wt Fenwick HMX 9 foot rod? I'd be happy to take it off of your hands. Fenwick will probably pro-rate me a rod if I send my remaining three pieces back to them. Apparently they don't have individual spare sections and they destroy everything that is returned to them (seems absurd - I know). Ethically this seems wasteful, so I was hoping there might be a way to salvage what I've got, rather than sending it to the landfill at Pure Fishing Ontario and buying another rod.

Anyhoo, thought I'd check.

Tight lines folks.

Default Oh yeah...

Just to iterate that the above was not meant as a swing at Fenwick's customer service. I've dealt with them on other issues and they have been nothing short of exceptional. I'm just trying to salvage useable rod parts and save a little.

Sorry about your situation. Can you tell me how to get a hold of Fenwick customer service? Broke my rod on Saturday. Thanks, Rick.
