Great work! Yes, today was good action. Called 10 total today in 8 stands.

Suddenly my Montana decoy seems totally inadequate.

Nice work and agree that top one needs another round! Lol
I'm hoping to get out and put a few down tomorrow, weather looks good for calling. Cold and calm....

Were you using prey call sounds or coyote howls/yips?

Harry will make an invaluable contribution when geese hunting too. Screw them birds up when they wanna land on the other side of the field! My Godson traps, so we set up three or four stiff legged frozen coyotes across the road to stop em from landing over there.

First half of the day was good today. Called four in three sets and killed three. One really good double. Last 5 sets produced nothing. Including one set where there were 5 coyotes seen within a half mile and not one came. They moved to the next 1/4 and decided to soak up some solar on round bales. I dunno. I’m still happy. I won’t complain about 14 in two days. Hopefully they are on again tomorrow morning.

Great idea, until somebody comes down the road and dusts your decoy with a rifle.

I had the pleasure of using a decoy similar to Harry last year. Super realistic!

I think that my hunting partner was a bit concerned that I was going to take him home with me...

Are you selling the hides or collecting bounties or both?

Got out last Friday, perfect calling conditions with little to no wind.
In 4 stands I called in 5 and connected on 2. On one stand 2 came in from about a 1/2 mile away and hung up a ways out.
Cottontail in distress mouth call with short squeaks once they got closer seemed to be the ticket.

Question: I haven't taken a lot of coyotes with my 22-250 but for those of you that use one, what approx. max range do you find it to be effective on coyotes? Have you had success using it on wolves?

I'm running a Remington 700 26" pipe with 50 grain ballistic tips.
Thanks for any info provided.

Smoked a wolf at 238yrds with the same bullet, he made it about 30yrds before piling up. Farthest yote so far is 496yrds, he dropped on the spot, was sitting in the middle of a field looking my way and wouldn't come any closer, guess he thought he was safe, never knew what hit him.

Thanks for the reply and good to hear!
I’ll have to extend my ranges next time I’m out punching paper so I can reach those dogs that hang up a ways out...
