Default Keith Rae - Get Hooked

Hi All,

Sadly Keith Rae of Get Hooked Fishing passed away Monday from cancer. I had the pleasure of knowing Keith for the last 6 years. We had some great fishing trips together on the NSR, also on the Fraser for Sturgeon.

His passion for fishing and love of NSR was incredible and admirable in many ways. Keith introduced many anglers to the Edmonton region fisheries, especially the North Saskatchewan River. He created many everlasting memories for lots of anglers.

What I admired most about him was his passion! He was not afraid to speak up to government officials, or anyone else for that matter when it came to the health of the NSR. We need more individuals like Keith and the watershed has lost a strong advocate.

Lets carry on his legacy and keep an eye out...keep an eye out for poachers, any industries/individuals not respecting the river/watershed, and everyone please pick up your garbage! Lets keep this amazing river and its banks in great shape for all of us and future generations. We are extremely grateful to have this as our back yard!

RIP in Keith. You will be missed by many!

Default Keith Rae

My wife and I had the pleasure of fishing the NSR with him. His love of the river was evident, and he was a great guy to fish with. He really wanted to make sure we had a great time, which we did. Condolences to his family.
