Rifle pistol callibers

Quick ? Does anybody out ther shoot a pistol caliber rifle( 45) just thinking of loading a few , and wondering what loads and kind of performance you are getting with the longer barrel? Will be going through a 18 inch barrel just right carbine. 230 grain and 200 grain .Am currently using 8.1 grains of IMR (sr 4756) Thanks for any advice . Cheers
