Default Fix lower leg seals on older 20HP?

Hey Guys
I've got an 80's era Evinrude that has water entering the leg. It will hold oil well enough, I just need to drain it and refill about 2x a season. I'm wondering if I should try to get it fixed or just run as is. The motor is a bit rough and won't idle well so she ain't no queen!

Fix it. Cheaper to fix it than to replace it.
How much water are you getting in there?
Run some seafoam through it too if you haven't. I just sold an '82 Johnson and it ran like a top. Motor was bulletproof.

Fix that deal before you have to change out your bottom end!
A little water will turn the oil milky for sure but having to drain it twice a season is playing odds that I have found from experience that rarely pay off

Are seals your problem, or do you have a hairline crack on the bottom end that is giving you the grief?

Fix it before you find yourself far from the dock hoping a boat will come by to tow you in.
