True believers don't want the odds! Ask Bessie! Why give odds on any team that isn't my team? Nope. Boah needs to show some guts.

Ok, I’ll take your bet. On the condition you take the same bet on the flames. They are not out of it yet. Or, are you a non- believer. Cmon show some guts.

Twisted sounds like a little baby. Repeatedly asking boah to quit trolling this thread, all the while he was the biggest troll ALL YEAR over on the oilers thread. Sand box, ball, little boy, stomping feet, going home. Bahahaha.

Poor old TC. Is hanging over the cliff by his fingernails as the Phlegms continue to spiral out of control. Only thing he has left to cling to is try and goat someone into a ridiculous wager. Maybe next year we should all wager $100 each with TC at the beginning of the season. Phlegms winning the cup vrs rest of the league. If he is a true fan, he will surely take every one of us on.

I know crow tastes terrible TC, better get some HP sauce..............

No, that is an unfair bet and you are being unreasonable. If both of you want to settle this and make it fair, do "East vs West" on even odds.

East team wins the cup, Boah wins

West team wins the cup, you win.

Now that would be a Man's bet and honorable, as opposed to trying to "Shames" Boah into a fool's bet.

I see what you did there.

Or bet on each series, if your against the Bruins. Hell, even I am starting to dislike the Bruins because of this fellow.

Or I'm just frustrated with the Flames. They must be trying to send a message about something they are unhappy with. What a crap show.

According to Twisted "All or nothing. You're a believer or you aren't. Put up or shut up, as they say in Little league...."

I think they should go head to head with their own teams. Bruins vrs Flames. Whom ever makes it farther in the playoffs gets the $100. Cowtown isn't out of it yet. I'd say it's about as fair as his proposal to Boah.

Come on Twisted, it's only $100 as you say. How big a set do you have? I'd say after that Boston comment, we all know where your character lies........

Brendan's Dad:

March 31st. Calgary Flames vs Edmonton Oilers. My team vs your team. Losers vs Better Losers. The Team With The Best Fans in the World vs The Team With Escaped Mental Patients for Fans (and players). Coasters vs Underacheivers.

I challenge you to a $50 wager.

I've heard that Johnny hockey is a Cancer in the room. Calling everyone out all the time. Wouldn't surprise me if he asked for a trade after this years showing......

Pretty sure if you go way back into predictions on how the Flames would do this season, I said a bottom ten finish, because that's what I expected. And unfortunately, I was right. Why would I bet on them making playoffs now? I also predicted the Oilers would be in the playoffs. Fortunately, I was wrong. The only bet I'm covering is between Bessie and I.

Taking on the Bruins troll was just the thing to do. Like how Lucic stands up for McDavid...oh, wait...

Anyway. There will be no wager, and no crow eaten. But I'd be happy to donate $100 to Stollery Children's instead, because it is only a hundred bucks. At least it's a good cause...

We have a power play that has gone 1 for their last 33. I have a great feeling about this. I think Stajjan is going to step it up because he's going hit 1000 games next game. Doesn't matter that he hasn't done anything useful in 998 of them so far. Good on him.

They should take his silver stick, put the PP on the ice, give them the stick, and have them beat Gully senseless.

Any word on when Thachuk is coming back? Makes the game so much more enjoyable seeing him get knocked around. Man, it drives me nuts watching him chew on that mouth guard. I noticed a few other young guys in the league do it. Must be all the rage in junior...... that or they were never properly weened off their soothers.

Man, tough season. I suspect some pretty big changes are coming. On paper, they seem like they should be a pretty decent club, but they just aren't putting it together. Next year, I seriously doubt that Stajan, Stewart, Shore, Glass or Hrivik, with really the only one of note taking serious money being Stajan at $3 plus million, will be back. Bring in some new blood and lets see what Dube, Foo, Anderson, and Valimaki can do.

Keep Stewart or Glass. After the Shames reaction to the Brody hit the other night, you boys need a heavy weight. Hamonic looked like he was going to pee himself when he grabbed Reaves. Kept looking around waiting for the troops show up and they never did. Johnny has taken a few good hits in the last few games with no reaction. The Shames are willing to engage a middle weight, but the heavy weights like Lucic, Reaves, and Wilkowski have gone uncontested this year.

Stajjan is done for sure. They have taken pity on him and allowed him to hit 1000 games, but he hasn't been earning it. Whatever, it's a good deed and that helped sink the ship. Hamilton has more goals than every other defenceman in the league, but wasn't on the power play until late in the season, good work Gully. When were down in the third, the fourth line seems to get lots of ice time, more than the 1st, good work Gully.

Here we are. No playoffs. No decent picks. 8 more games that don't mean crap except for the Edmonton one (for emotional interests).

As for Tkachuk, I haven't heard anything new. Let him rest and chew on whatever he wants, he tried.

I saw another Flames player doing it during the San Jose game, can't remember who, but it didn't help him play any better. Maybe he could borrow Tkachuk's jock strap.

Gaudreau always did it some, but I think Bennett is also now on the "chew" wagon. Just looks terrible!

I'd really like to know whats going on with T.J. Brodie. The rest of the D core, including Kulak, Prout, Bart, and Andersson, is a combined -9, T.J. is -16. Even on the same pairing, going from Brodie to Hamonic, its a -16 to -5 difference.

7 game win streak and then the break in January. 10 wins in 29 games after that. Garbage.

We have one of the highest Corsi %'s and were 24th for scoring. Congratulations boys.

Now I understand why everytime the camera goes on Johnny during a game, he looks like he's about to cry.

Our best Alberta hope now is for the oilers to get Brady Tkachuk in the draft then it's on. As a flames fan recently moved to Edmonton to find work, it's clear both teams are missing something. For the oil it's better team speed and GM who doesn't lose every trade and will stop giving huge contracts to players past their prime when they arrive here. For the flames, they need a team backbone, more guys that hate losing and a power play finisher. I guess it's the jets now, can't really handle the leaf crowd.

Hopefully not for the rest of the season. I made a bet with my dad at the beginning of the season that 1) the Flames would miss the playoffs and 2) that Tkachuk wouldn't get 50 points. He had 49 with 15 games to play, and remains at 49. Hope they shut him down

I not sticking up for the guy, but he is hockey fan, chirping another team on a hockey thread. What gives with throwing out the "Troll" card. Just because he is a bruins fan doesn't make him a Troll. Are you a Troll on the Oiler's thread? Am I a Troll on this thread? I think you started taking this a little personal.

Good idea on the Stollery. CRX and I agreed that the loser donates $50 to a charity of winner's choice.
