Default Beginner Needing Help on New Traps!!f

I have just purchased two traps, and boiled them. They are currently hanging outside, and
are oil free. My question is: In order to get them to rust, I am planning to spray some vinegar on them. But, the temps here are about 10 degrees on average, 20 max. Would I be able to spray these outside, and have it rust, or should they be in a heated shop and sprayed? The shop is simply an attached garage, and the scent from dinner will creep into it. Would this hurt? What would you do?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

just leave them be. boiled and hang outside will be fine , they will rust on there own. the more you handle them the more scent you leave on them.

Duke,
When you set your traps, do you use your hands, or feet? I use my feet, and where burly lacross boots. Is there a better way to do it where one may not be so apt to get the scent on the traps?
