Default Back from South Africa

We just returned from an amazing trip to South Africa that saw us hunting in three different camps. We started out in the Kalahari at Tinashe Outfitters, a magnificent 5-star lodge. We only had a short wish list on this leg of the trip and it was as much about spending time around a camel thorn fire at night with good friends drinking fine wine as it was hunting. Two other couples and another friend joined us at Tinashe and it was the perfect destination for a couple's getaway. The lodge was absolutely amazing and the food was out of this world. They've had a severe drought in the Kalahari for the past two years and many animals have died but there was still plenty to hunt. We took a cape buffalo, black wildebeest, impala, kudu and jackal and spent a fair bit of time just tagging along with friends. They took many more animals than us.

Dang, good looking buffalo right there, also I don't think I've ever seen a zebra pattern on a rifle stock before haha

Sounds like a great hunting experience, thanks for sharing

Looks absolutely amazing. One of my bucket list things to do, but I suspect it may happen here in the next year or two. Beautiful pictures, thank you for sharing them. My wife noticed the bedframe in your room first thing, now we need to try and get one like it here....

That's one heck of a Cape buffalo TJ got. I'm having a custom rifle built and I gotta say, a zebra pattern wasn't something I thought I'd ever consider, but that rifle looks great.
