While on the .280 topic, I should mention, for the other Sako lovers that the classic was never offered in .280. This one was a special order from the factory. I was lucky enough to buy it from the original buyer NIB.
Also, I actually have more experience with the 7X64 than the .280(but I use .280 data in my loads). 7X64 is unpopular(almost unknown?) here but very common in Europe.

one of my favorites is a .240 Gibbs, 25-06 necked down to a .243. Based on a SS Smith barrel, a sako action and a Macmillian stock. So far, killed a wolf and number of coyotes with it.
