Default Broadheads for Recurve - Deer and Elk

Greetings folks,

Will be getting out with my bow in the fall before rifle season and as my Birthday is coming up and people want to know what to get me, I thought some broadheads might be in order. I know nothing about them and want to ask if anyone could share some recommendations and things to consider.

I have a 40 pound recurve bow and would like to be hunting Deer/Elk with it. I could get some higher poundage limbs as well if that would be recommended.

Thanks!

Matt

I have tried and tested dozens of cut on contact heads over the years ,
I keep going back to Zwickey Eskimos and Deltas, they do everything I want them to in my stick bows - accurate, easy to sharpen and cut well.

There’s lots of good ones, for 3 blade I like weasel woodsmans ..they fly great for me. Ted Nugent had some out a few years ago, they were really inexpensive and I know they kill deer well

Probably Calgary archery center has them. Otherwise it’s three rivers in the states.
