Our soil is too poor for a garden so we container garden on a limited basis.

Tomato's and cucumbers for now. They produced very well.

The berries didn't do well here. We go a few handfuls of Raspberries, a handful of wild strawberries and less then a handful of Saskatoon's.

No Mushrooms yet, anywhere in the area. We are hoping.

So;

Tomato's
Cucumbers
Saskatoon. barely
Wild Strawberries, a few
Wild Raspberries, a cup full.

Lots of green vegetation. Earlier in the year, willow shoots. Summer goes too fast.

Don't have any land of my own, but here are some of the goodies I've harvested from the bush so far this year:

Saskatoons
Raspberries
Wild Strawberries
Chokecherries
Blueberries
Morels
Orange Top Mushrooms
Wild Rose Petals
Yarrow
Wild Mint
Hazelnuts

The wild strawberries were amazing this year, picked almost a full ice cream pail which have since been turned into jelly. Dozen or so pounds of blueberries are in the freezer and have a nice supply of dried mint in storage.

Good and timely post. If I include participating neighbours, and all the wild fields and forests that I have access to I could match your list and add a few more. Not trying to brag, simply saying that it has been another great and aboundant year for all types of vegtables, fruits and fungi. I hope everyone has had a chance to enjoy mother natures glories this year.

I wish.

I did pick a gallon of wild blueberries but not a single mushroom, and precious few Saskatoon's or Raspberries.

I was looking forward to picking a few gallons of Chokecherries but there just aren't any out there close. Within a ten miles.

I have access to thousands of acres and usually have a lot to choose from, but not this year. It has been so dry that even the grasshoppers here go to the dugout for water twice a day.

A total of 4" or rain since the first of April and no rain in sight.

I was down at Sexsmith last week, to pick up a quad.
This one in fact.

It was unreal how many berries there were on the bushes down there. More then I've ever seen around here.

Forgot about my peppers.

Also my broccoli and Brussels spouts did not do well. Slugs are feeding well.

Not much compared to most so far, just sour cherries, raspberries, peas & tomatoes. Will have some potatoes soon. Bloody squirrel has been digging potato plants up, I think I'll need to look into some trapping options so more of them don't pick up the behaviour.

zucchini
lettuce
Spinach
Swiss Chard
peas
beans (bush and pole)
several types of peppers
roma/brandywine tomatoes
cucumbers
corn
raspberry
blackberry
