Actually wait. Putting box sides on BRAND new fords makes me money. Lol
All joking aside, some of the things needed fixed on vehicles that havent left the lot is scary.

Whichever has the less expensive "heated tailgate" option.

Or you could just get a Taco.

My 2001 Dodge Ram diesel with 360,000 km still going strong, get almost 30 mpg and only had to dealer twice, last for fan belt. it spends more time on gravel and mud than on pavement.

Ive had 3 new Dodges and one New Ford. Ford was nicer to drive because of more bells and whistles. Ford Drove nicer. Doges Lasted Way longer and my Ford Blew up at 101 500KM and Ford wouldn't do a darn thing for me and wanted over 10K to fix it!
My dodges have all ran real well for a very long time and little money to fix anything.
That being said I think I will give GMC a try next time

From his post, it sounds like he'd highly recommend the upgraded heated tailgate option.

Toyota of course.
But if I had to choose between those two, then:

But I guess Ford. Wouldn't go near a Dodge.

I think that has more to do with cost than reliability.

My last Ford fleet truck was a 2013, and it went back to the dealership six times for warranty repairs. Transmission eventually gave out at only 54,000kms. It was absolute garbage. Since it was out of warranty (just), the fleet guys just decided to dump it at auction rather than fix it. My new Ford has been the complete opposite...problem free so far. It's weird how two vehicles - virtually identical in every way - can have completely different personalities.

I think with the way vehicles are manufactured these days, they are all about the same when it comes to reliability. Some are a little better or a little worse than others, but more or less the same. Drive both, buy the one you like better.

Yup. Good idea. I rented each for a week, then decided on Ford. Both were good. However Ford felt like home.

Go sit in the service waiting area of the dealership of your choice and find out the complaints. I would have no problem buying another dodge but sure won't see a minute in Grande Prairie did he Chrysler. I'll repeat. Stay away from Grande Prairie dodge.

Get the Ford. It is definitely more comfortable than the Dodge tailgate.

Had 2012 for I bought new had nothing but problems. Trying another dodge now. They all have problems that’s the bottom line. I wouldn’t say one is way better then the other. Just seem to get some that are really good and others are lemons.

I've had them all, if you get a good one you're lucky, lemons come in all makes and models. Drive what you can afford like shotguns fit is more important than make.

I've seen a lot of Fargos in the patch. Seems like theres more dodges and chevs on the road then there is Ford.

I've owned both and have a dodge now and it's JUNK compared to the fords I've owned,I gave my ford to my oldest son and it has 250,000 and not one leak,we do get mait and it's been a awesome truck,so my vote is FORD
