2017/18 Last Receiving/Auction Dates
I made an inquiry to NAFA about next year's plans for Last Receiving and Auction dates and here is the reply. I had specifically asked about a Last Receiving Date for fur caught after the Last Receiving date for the July auction. I like the January 8 date for coyotes but what to do with those Spring beaver and muskrat caught after April 30? It would be nice if they changed the last Receiving Date to mid-May.
"Here is what I currently have and hopefully it will remain intact.
Last receiving date / sale date
January 8,2018 / Feb 26 – Mar 2,2018
March 12,2018 / May 13 – May 19,2018
April 30,2018 / July 6 – July 10,2018
We may have to work on that last one as it is too early for those spring catches. I know this past season was a concern as well so we will do what we can to accommodate our shippers."
