Default How many guys does it take to change a lightbulb?

Just one guy. And he must have big balls.

May have been seen before by some. Thought I would share for gits and shiggles.

So, could you do a free climb like this? Especially having a 30 lb. toolbox attached to your belt.

This is a nice video too. The drone footage is wow.

I usually don't have trouble with heights, but that video made the palms of by hands sweat!

I generally don't think I'm afraid of heights, but man, that would be something else.

That's pretty cool.

I can't even do extension ladders anymore. Although I still love to climb trees... But I definitely have my limits!

Cool video,i'm no electrical expert but the dialogue between 3;33 and 3;47 caught my ear, i have listened to it a couple dozen times and i'm wondering if anyone can explain what he's saying about creating a lightning strike?

I've never been scared of heights, I don't care how high as long as I have one foot on the ground.

Could only imagine getting to the top and realizing you forgot a wrench you need....

Or, finishing your morning coffee before heading up, and realizing its poop o'clock...

Thanks Red Bullets.

Which video are you referring to as "free climb",
as I see him latching up all the way.

It brought back the exhilaration & sent me to the
garage looking for my climbing belt (found it).

My experiences were at 1/10 the altitude,
but at 32fps/ps if you're foolish enough to fall,
the end result is the same.

I had to stop watching that video.. Normally I am not overly afraid of heights, but thats just wrong. I can't believe when they designed that tower they didn't find a way to make it slightly easier to climb.....

The first video. He only latches on during rests.

Before lightning strikes it creates a local positive charge on the item to be struck. The spikes on the lightning dissipators release this charge into the air before the bolt is discharged from the cloud.

I couldn’t even stand at the base of that tower and look up without feeling weird

I drank a fair bit before the girls took me to the top of the Empire State Building. Otherwise I get dizzy just looking up

Once you get over 50 ft up, I doubt the fall-survival rate changes much. That being said, I’d definitely make a point of staying connected during the climb. That guy is kinda asking for it. Cool vid though.
