Default Saskatchewan Home Invasion

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saska...sion-1.4967803

Men all known to one another. Cocaine found on one of the home invaders. Make of it what you will. But three masked guys break into your house at night with a shotgun and at the end of it you’re the one fighting charges?

I think there's more to that event, the cops charged the home owner with a second charge for stabbing one of the invaders that had the cocaine. Wait for the rest of the story to come out.

Meanwhile in toon town this guy needed some back up

Saskatoon man left bleeding, freezing after struggle with home invaders while naked

Why would you think your allowed to defend yourself? If you want those rules you need to proceed one country South sir.

I would think the resulting charges are from defending himself with an unlicensed, improperly stored firearm. Reading the article leads me to believe the victim is different from legal firearms owners.

The losers in the 2nd one need to go away for life, attempted murder. The victim should get everything the bastards own plus 60% of any money they ever make in compensation if they ever actually work.
PLEASE, CANADA, grow some balls and help the innocent against the guilty.

Default home invasion

Even in Canadian law you are able to defend yourself with shotgun when two armed robbers break into your home with a machete and handgun. He could have saved our police and court system alot of $$$.

The OP needs to read the article..nowhere does it say the homeowner was charged..it is a CBC article that is meant to inflame the situation into something that it isn't....The criminal code protects a homeowner in self defense. Doesn't mean it won't cost you alot of money defending yourself but it is there...Section 34 Criminal Code of Canada...

Keegan R. Muxlow, 23, of Weyburn is charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm during the commission of an offence, unsafe storage of a firearm, and possession of a firearm without a valid license after being the victim of a home invasion on January 4.

This is the only article that I've seen on the incident. The linked CBC article does not say he is charged..

They found cocaine on him too.

'The 23-year-old was also charged with possession of what police described as a small amount of cocaine that was found during a search at the police headquarters.

The men were all known to each other, according to police.'
