Tonight's supposed to be the cutoff on the deal. The Mrs suggested I grab more
for actual gifts and to use on Boxing Day. One store had the sign taken down, will see if it's still possible, potentially Superstore wised up to how people were
not necessarily getting groceries along with them and put a stop to it?? It seemed kind of like a loophole of sorts

They need to run it through and do a manual override. I did five at a time and I did not buy groceries until I bought the cards first. They just need to run it through without thinking about it. The choice is $10 off groceries or $10 off the card. My five cards were $200. In Spruce Grove I had half a doz people working on it & the lady finally said, well lets try iy and it worked.

Update: Signal Hill still has some and the customer service ladies know the drill. The cards are out up front but there were a good number at another gift card rack back by the towels.

At Westhills SuperStore I saw a gent eyeballing the gift card rack by the tills that was emptied of the $50 Bass Pro cards and told him where to find them. He wound up behind me in line at customer service and I asked him where he'd heard of the deal. He noted AO and didn't use its full name. Hi Steve, I forget what your forum nickname is

Hey Caber....thanks for the tip and good meeting you!

For anyone looking there were three cards left at Signal Hill earlier tonight.

Also thanks to the OP for starting this thread. Definitely a good buy!

Lucky b's in alberta. I am in Vancouver and 3 different stores could not figure out how to knock off the price of the cards. Went all the way to the manager each time and none had any clue. In one store I even tried to buy groceries and the card still came up at $50. At another the manager phoned out to whoever they ask for help and even they had no clue, just tried to offer me 10 in optimum points per card. GRRRR. None would simply override the price. Emailed head office but doubt anything will come of it

Happy to help guys. I do suggest converting to Cabela's cards asap if that is your store of choice though.

I called edmonton Cabelas and asked if they accept basspro cards? They said yes since Cabelas is now owned by basspro.

True, but you have to get them transferred over at Cabela's customer service as the tills can't take them. I ran through this last night so will definitely transfer them to a Cabela's gift card for easier use on Boxing Day.

And you can’t use BPS cards on Cabelas.ca either. They need to be converted first.

Went to Cabela's last night to pick up some accessories for my gun.
Had to go to Customer Service to convert my BP cards to Cabelas. It took about 10 minutes to go through the process with my 8 cards. Could have been a bit less as I didn't actually keep track of the time.

I called cabelas and they said you can use basspro cards in cableas STORE at customer service and you can call cabelas PHONE order line and use it.

But if you want to use them ONLINE, they must be converted to cabelas cards in the store.

Turned out to be a real pain. Go to Cabela's today & they say that Superstore didn't activate the cards. So I go back & find out that I can't activate it for 24 hours & if I try they could become useless. Worried now that I may have wasted $200. I would have been better off not to bother.

All gift cards I have purchased, regardless of business they are for, have a 24 hour waiting/activation period before they can be used.

Hey sheit happens, I'm sure this is not the first time this has happened.
I would start by going back to Superstore, if you have your receipt and telling your story. The serial numbers of the cards you purchased will be on the receipt. Basspro should have a record of the card and whether it was redeemed or not. One way or the other you should not lose your money.
Good luck.

To update I went back to Superstore, they cancelled the cards that I had & issued me new cards. Took about an hour but thankfully they did it. Being that it's 3rd party they don't deal directly with Bass Pro. Won't make that mistake again.

Good night all!!!! Stay safe on those slippery roads.

Default Seems like I lost $2000🥵🥵

So I took all my Basspro cards to Cabelas and request them to change to Cabelas cards. They told me the cards have zero balance on them. Cabelas told me to go to the nearest superstore they will fix it!!

Went to the nearest superstore and they refused to help me and I was advised to go to the store where I bought the cards.

I went to the superstore where I bought the cards and they told me they can’t help as they activated the cards and I was told by superstore that I need to call bass pro.

I called bass pro and they told me that the store activated the cards but did not put any money on the card.

Bass pro then told me to take pictures of all the cards with the receipts and email it to them.

Tomorrow I will take picture of all the 40 cards with their receipts and 40 pictures will be going to bass pro tomorrow.

Fingers crossed 🤬🤬

There were multiple gift card kiosks at the stores, some were back in other sections near gift wrap & stationary. I visited one store that was bare for BP gift cards by the tills but had dozens elsewhere, I even pointed them out to another fellow who turned out to be a character from this forum.
