That's the album I discovered you could actually wear out a cassette tape so it didn't play properly anymore.

Even in his later years, he didn't hold anything back. His effort in this one amazes me

He was a tremendously gifted singer and entertainer, he was one of the few with a vocal range to match Freddy Mercury. Bat Out of Hell is one of my top #5 favorite albums, without question, and his songs come up on my playlist regularly.

RIP Mr. Loaf

Meat was a different animal, animated and didn't half-arse anything. I remember when he clawed his way back to the top in the 90's with I would do anything.

Losing some of the great ones.

His film appearance in "Rocky Horror Picture Show" was truly unforgettable.

Without him, the crowd participation for the question "what's for dinner" just would not have worked.

Man do I have memories of Meatloaf. This guy shaped my life with paradise by the dash board lights. God to have those days back. RIP Meatloaf!!

Default Opera Rock; not my thing

I went to a Meatloaf concert in '89 at the Jubilee Auditorium. The eff uuus went on for ten minutes after he went "praying for the end of time." Jerry Doucette and Randy Bachman were excellent.

Default Meatloaf/JFK

If you're a Meatloaf fan this interview is pretty wild and worth a listen.
