He put it all in when he was singing. He's got lots of classics. I don't think I've heard anything about him since fight club.

RIP

RIP, in Paradise by a dashboard light.

One of the best songs from the 70's.

I played the crap out of his Bat out of hell 8-track! RIP Meat.

Loved him on Celebrity apprentice when he went after Gary Busey. That was hilarious tv.

Again RIP M..

And the last thing I see is my heart, still beating, still beating, breaking out of my body and flying away, like a bat outta hell...

Boy, did he nail that song. RIP, Meat.

Just heard on the radio that he was a vegetarian for quite sometime. He was in Canada at a banquet or something and wanted to say hi to kd Lang. He walked up and introduced himself to her and she refused to talk to him because his name was meatloaf.

For sure that album wore out the needle for me. He also acted in over 50 movies and shows including a classic role in Rocky Horror Picture Show.

His Star spangled banner was perfect

Sang the song without 55 runs and yelling

Perfect

Russel Bouers (spelling?) did a really interesting interview with Meatloaf on his weekend morning radio show on CBC (Daybreak Alberta) a few years ago, and it was repeated about 6 weeks ago, as Russel was leaving and he had a highlight show of favorite interviews.

As I recall, Meatloaf said that he had a very poor signing voice but I think he was a teenager when he was in an accident (I think he got hit in the head by a discus, or something similar during a track and field event) and as a consequence, he acquired a good signing voice. It was a bizarre story. Anyway, he came across as a sincere and thoughtful fellow, with a lot more "depth of character" than I would typically expect in a rock star.

Never bought his albums but enjoyed his music. Another gone from that era. But his legacy is cemented in his music and that will stand the test of time.

I wonder how many of todays "artists" will stand the test of time like those of the 60's and 70"s.

RIP.
Studies show that there is a direct correlation to blown speakers, tape deck failure, worn turntable stylus' and deafness while listening to Bat Out Of Hell !

For Crying Out Loud, I'd lie for you, however, Heaven Couldn't Wait for this Bat out of hell. He gave it all when he sung and I'd Do anything for love and it will always rock in my tunes. RIP

I had to drive a 5 ton truck from GP to Vancouver for my uncle many years back, Bat Out Of Hell was the only cassette I had and the radio didn't work so I was stuck with that the whole way. Made it to about Kamloops and out it came and I busted the tape in half. Haven't been able to listen to him since.
