I'm not a fan of CBC (ok, I hate them) but Marketplace has a way of getting things done. Maybe drop them a line and explain the situation. I suspect one phone call from them to the GM at Courtesy would get your problems resolved damn quick.

I wish I'd known to check on dealership here before I shopped. I left a doozy for Norden VW.

Courtesy has a 4.3 star rating. Doesn't seem right. Do your part.

After looking at reviews of a local dealer, the site strikes me as worthless.

It only works if people write reviews.

If you look at Norden VW, it has an accurate 2.2 stars, because people reviewed how godawful they are.

I'd think that's fair, it doesn't run after all.

Too soon?

That ad needs revision. It doesn’t even seem near sarcastic enough and needs to hammer courtesy Chrysler much more.

I like Ken's idea of scheduling a tow truck to go pick up the jeep from the dealership with the news crew waiting outside.

Well Courtesy Chrysler is consistent. Nothing has changed since 1978 when I had a "pos" Power Wagon. Never honoured one warranty issue.

Hope things work out for ya !!

Bah, "too soon" would entail asking him to provide a vehicle history report from a sketchy website...

Paint up some big yellow lemon cardboard images. Stick it inside every window.

Park the thing tight up to the dealership showroom entrance doors on Saturday around 10:00am.
Oops.....guess what.....it won’t start...not that’s a surprise!!!!

Loudly let everyone know how you’ve been screwed.

Repeat that every Saturday and when they break, make sure they compensate you for your time, interest, costs and inconvenience as well as take the thing back without discount.

Basically they are counting on you giving up and going away to pick you wounds like a beat dog. Most people do. Don’t back down. Let them know this is just the start and you’ll not stop until locked up for good. They will threaten that too...but remember “It’s a civil matter!!” ....it’s the phase police use when they don’t want to get involved.

If the police do show up, leave without much fuss.

Return the next Saturday and repeat.

If the heat gets too much , nothing says the Jeep won’t breakdown on the public road right at their dealership entrance blocking it. Gives you a good opportunity to have nice chats of how they are treating you with every incoming potential customer.

I don’t know about you, but if I HAD thought of buying a new vehicle from them, that sure would cause me to slam the brakes and reassess brand and at the least dealership. Cost them money and they will cut their losses instead of the current plan that you suck them up.

Can you put links in Google reviews?
A Google review with a link to this thread would help to get the word out.

Not sure if this will be of any help Jim but my friend who works at a Chrysler dealership mentioned that there was a bulletin out on some Jeep products involving the need to replace the starter bolts as they were having an issue getting a good ground to allow the circuit to operate properly......

My friend owns a body shop in Calgary and most of his business is repairing Car Rentals.
Currently working on a Sahara collision with deployed airbags.

Among the many issues-You guessed it-Intermittent no start.

^^^This. All of it. Especially a courtesy car.

Jeeps can be pretty spendy, you deserve better service than that. I have a buddy that's going trough something similar with his brand new Audi R6S, BEAUTIFUL car but its been in the shop many, many times in his 6 months of ownership.

Kinda sucks the joy right out of having a brand new vehicle.

That really sucks, sorry to hear. Best of luck getting it fixed properly and in a timely manor.

This sounds quite feasibly could be the problem. Can your buddy get the bulletin number for the OP. If he can take the bulletin to the dealer they would be hard-pressed not performing it immediately.
