Remodel a M98

Just recently purchased a Zastava brand m98 in 9.3mm
I think I’d like to remodel it to look more like a good old Rigby or other such classic.
Any ideas where to start?
Looking for tips on products, methods, techniques and research direction such as past threads
Also, just pictures and whatever for inspiration.
In return I’ll keep ya’ll posted on the progress and what I learn along the way!

Ive thought about doing that. Those rifles could look so much nicer. Get a rasp a creditcard cabinet scrapers, some sand paper and get after it.
There is alot of meat that could come off those rifles. I think the Brno 21/22 is about the perfect basic stocking rifle design. If you like a hogs back appearance, drop it behind your cheek wield position.
I've reprofiled a dozen or so rifles, I want to learn checkering but havent started yet, you cant hurt the checkering on those rifles though. Lol

The issue is, there is more than just a stock that needs remodelling. The metal is part of the process as well. The handle, the safety, the trigger, the sights, the barrel contour, the bottom metal all need replacement or extensive work. Unfortunately, it seems, when it comes to custom, everyone begins and ends with the stock on the brain. To me that’s overlooking the heart and soul of the rifle.
