Why do they keep going internal battery? And why have they deleted the micro sd card slot so a guy can use alternate maps.

Because the internal battery lasts forever
They always sell aa auxiliary packs
But they don’t last very long

Same old gps as the old 62. Not to impressed. I do however like that it has been integrated with the inreach. I talked to the garmin guys at a show and questioned them on when they will be bringing it out with a touch screen like the origons and they didn’t have any plans as of yet. I am undecided if I will get this or just wait for a touch screen. Garmin topo is not great and garmin Birdseye use such out of date google earth images it’s embarrassing. I can use my iPhone with much more detail than a garmin gps. Mec will have these in a couple weeks.

I had an Garmin Oregon but found myself using my phone more for GPS and marking waypoints. So I got the inreach mini.
