I have been using these batteries for years now and they are great. After years of shopping at costco for the deep cycle, I noticed that they will bring them in for the summer and once they are out...that's it till next year..Do not trust the staff if phoning in for them cause I had issues with them confirming the batteries were in stock.

Unlike their auto batteries, Costco deep cycle batteries are a 'seasonal' item. Typically, they sell their deep cycle batteries in the spring & summer only. By late summer they are usually sold out, and they don't get anymore in until the next spring.

I would start checking your Costco store for deep cycle batteries sometime in April.

the beauty with costco is they don't ask questions when you bring a return in.No need for a receipt as it is on your purchase history.

Rules have not change just for one store. if you purchased Costco tires, and do not have a receipt, you need to tell at minimum the year you bought the tires, or what ever the item and we can do a shopping history and print off the proof..

However below is an excerpt from the Costco.ca website concerning tires and batteries . Interesting !

Products with a limited useful life expectancy, such as tires and batteries, may be sold with a product-specific limited warranty.

The OP might be interested, but that ^ is an expensive sealed 'acid-free' AGM Marine/RV battery, and the only type type that Costco will ship. Costco does not ship the less expensive open 'lead-acid' deep cycle batteries that most people buy.

Also of note:
Marine/RV batteries have their uses, but they are not 'true' deep cycle batteries ... they are a compromise/hybrid battery, and don't have the full capabilities of a true deep cycle battery.

If you have an item number I have had the customer service desk at a local Costco check inventory at all the other locations in the city. They can tell if it is in stock, how many, and how many sold that day already. Saves a lot of time if the one you are at doesn't have the item in stock.

I just exchanged my battery today for a new one without a receipt. All they looked for was the item number from the battery and my member number.
