Default Carbon riser anyone experienced issues?

After test shooting a few bows I really liked the bowtech carbon Zion but have no experience with carbon risers. It’s not about the weight but more so it just felt nice in the hand with a good draw cycle

Has anyone experienced issues with a carbon riser?

Any information that you feel someone should know before buying one?

My brother has a carbon icon which is 3 years old now. The carbon Zion is like a copy of that bow with a couple of tweaks but very similar. He loves that bow and has no issues. It is incredibly light weight and shoots great too, I think you have no regrets if you buy that bow. As for the riser being carbon, I don’t know too much on the possible issues but I do know he’s had no issues. Good luck.

I shoot Bowtech and in the past the Bowtech Carbon bows had mixed reviews in regards to the riser warping.

PSE made a carbon riser bow back around 1997 or so. I had one and it developed a stress crack at the front of the grip. PSE warrantied it by replacing the entire bow with their new top of the line aluminum riser MACH whatever as they quite making the carbon bow for about 20 years.

Never had trouble with a 2011 Hoyt Carbon Element other than I could not shoot it well in the year I used it.

I have shot the Hoyt carbon bows since they came out, no problems, one big plus they don't freeze your holding hand in cold weather like an aluminum riser will

PSE has had the Carbon Air out for the past few years, a great carbon bow also with few issues
