Default Salmon trips - 2019

For guys planning salmon trips for 2019 you should take a read of chapter 7 accessible through the link below on the proposed regulations that DFO is looking at putting in place for select areas around Vancouver Island and the Northern end of the QC's.

Basically sport fishing will be impact to save salmon stocks as a food fish for killer whales in the areas highlighted on the maps. For me this is a direct impact to three different lodges that I frequent.

Chapter 7 - direct link https://www.canada.ca/en/environment...ded.html#toc11

Table 6 lists detrimental activities --- Fishing for Chinook Salmon, Chum Salmon, and other important prey species Other activities that are detrimental to habitat and survival of prey (e.g. fishing for forage fish species)
