Excellent!

I've lost count of the moose and elk dropped by my .257 Bob.

Use a heavier quality bullet, Federal 120 grain Nosler partitions have worked well for me.
Keep shots to a reasonable distance.

I just about used my 257 Roy on a bull yesterday but went & grabbed my bigger boom stick. I am glad I did as I took a frontal shot with a big boom stick that flattened him. I would not of taken the frontal shot with my 257 Roy as I did with my 30-378.

Shot placement is key & questionable shots should be avoided on bigger game imo.

I got a cow with my 257 Weatherby a few years ago. 367 yards. I put another one in her just to make sure, but no issues at all. As stated above, might not take a frontal shot on a bull, just depends on the situation.

After seeing what roger's 257 Roy will do to AR500 plated flinging 100 grain TSX's, I'd say a frontal shot wouldn't be a un doable shot.
