Default Goose chair?

Has anyone seen or used these? Family priest gave me these as he has to move parishes and has no room. This this is huge, like mutant goose huge. How does this even manage to work haha.

Brings back memories lmao. Not a fan based on what's out there today. Stick out. Casts shadows. We use to dig them down to lower profile like 15-20 yrs ago lol. Only benefit was older guys. Can somewhat see and keep them from moving around lol

Yea I have a layout blind as well, but I may just take it apart and use the shell to hide a backpack and my lunch under it haha!

use to hunt out of that all the time as a kid. Works amazing - geese don't understand size difference or shape for the most part, thus you can use black milk jugs in a field.

I've not used one but I've been on hunts with people who did. They got a few geese when I didn't, so that's all I can say.

I've never used one but i talked to people who did and they said they found them to be pretty good, but there are better options out today that are easier to shoot from and more comfortable.

Default Goose Chair

I have one and have found it to be ok to hunt from. Its a bit hard to see out of and I was thinking of cutting a little bigger hole here and there in the shell. I do find that I need to be mindful of the barrel glare when the sun is shining. The nice part about the goose chair is it fits any field conditions.
I will sell mine one of these days and try a coffin blind. It takes up quite a bit of room.

We used to call them " FLARE" chairs. Worked ok the first couple years out but we found they cast huge abnormal shadows and the geese flared off them if it wasnt cloudy and windy.
