Default Cow elk around suffield

Happy new year all, headin to suffield sat morn from Red deer for a family cow elk hunt.Have a few ranch contacts and have spoken to fish n wildlife, hopefully we get lucky and tag out this weekend. Our zones encompass the entire base, just wondering what conditions like in that neck of the woods and if anyone could throw us any bones in regard to recent sightings or any pointers, anything greatly appreciated as the freezzers almost empty, thanks folks.
