He was deserving of a shoulder mount but just wasn't in the budget

Default 2016 Successful Hunt Pics, post them up...

November 16th I tagged out on my Mule draw. I arrived at my spot and instantly I seen a small mule buck. I pulled the spotting scope to give him a quick look and as I was trying to get him in view I managed to find this buck and decided I was going to make the trek after him. With only an hour and fourty minutes of hunting time left I made my way as fast and as sneakily as I could to where I last seen him. When I got there I quickly checked the time and only an hour of hunting time left. I found him moving away from his does to another area where a buck had a bunch of does. He proceeded to steal a doe and herd her into the brush for some fun. Shortly after he made his way back to his does but I had situated my self between him and the does. As he came out of a draw I got him stopped and decided to take the shot. He jumped and ran 15 yards before making a couple of circles then fell over. A few excited cheers and then the realization of how far I went and how long of a pack it was about to be! I definitely won't forget this one

Ps: sorry for the blood and tongue hanging out I was by myself in a rush and running out of light lol

Driving back from work. Nothing great but for a first year hunter, not terrible. Plus proved a few guys in the area all the geese are gone. Literally shot it 10 minutes before legal light

I put up a recap story in a separate thread. Here's my biggest buck to date. I'm super thankful to Dustin for staying home with the 3yr old, 2yr old and 6mth old baby so I could get out and chase this guy.

Well, this buck is nothing like the beasts that have been posted so far, but I'm still happy to have tagged a buck. Haven't tagged a buck since 2007.

Took him just after first light. 300 yards or thereabouts.
