I buy tag for 1 hunk of fur, saves me big time.

If the harvest don't work out, then I do the same thing next year.

Cost for me to go West is not a factor since I'm there already.

Its more about being around lakes, rocks, and trees at this stage of the game for pal and I.

Happy harvest to all.

Pal Don

THIS^^!!
Alberta is a BARGAIN @ $45 and $12 for partner, compared to almost anywhere else.
NB is $72 for resident....and another $72 for designate(partner) licence.....and $10/year to apply for 1/15 chance of being drawn for 5 day season.(season was only 3 days for decades until increased to 5 days last year)....so figger $150 in application fees over 15 years, just to draw a tag,and another $144 for you and partner to both carry guns, compared to $57 in AB for both.

I spend $200-$300 year on hunt/fish licences, which is a fraction of the total I spend on equipment, gas, lost earnings and all the other expenses....licence cost is least of my concerns and a bargain at twice the price.....not that I WANT to pay more, but ya can't put a price on that much fun.
$200-$300/year pfffft.....I can blow that in a night out on the town easily enough.A day at Stampede?NHL game tickets for 2?Dinner and a movie with drinks afterwards costs half that much easily.

Still cheap, im back in Onterrible and its 60$ just to apply, i've only drawn one tag in 15 years....when i moved to alberta i couldn't believe it was 3$ to apply, i honestly didn't believe the folks when it was first explained to me. Even with all the recent changes, Alberta is probably still the greatest system i've seen so far. (as far as opportunities go)

The last time I applied for a moose draw was back in Manitoba about 20 years ago and not being exact on the cost but I know 2 hunters had to apply for 1 moose licence with tag. The cost of each was about $55.00 and could only apply every second year.

Default Price of moose tag

Why don't you just take your $47.20 to the grocery store and buy beef? Let me know how that works out for you.

How 'bout they raise everybody's income taxes 15% that's still cheap. Venezuelans probably pay a bigger percentage. And lots of other people like to go outside, too. Besides, that will go a long way towards reading material for disadvantaged school moose. Did you know that most animals don't get read to, when they tuck them in for bed in Jasper? They hardly have any books!

Our fuel is cheaper than in some parts of the world, too. If we double it for taxes, that oughta bring us in line with U.K. pricing. And think of all the earth we will save by not using our trucks, campers and off road machines! I see no downside.

All this time Alison Redhands, was right all along.

Here! Take my money!!
