Default So much for the big one.

Well at least now I know why I couldn't find that big buck that was hanging around here all last fall and through the summer.

I just learned that my neighbors wife got him. And he was bigger then I thought.
I figured him for a little smaller then my largest buck so far, 165 or maybe a bit more. The word is he went 176.

Congratulations Cathy. Are we going to see some photos?

Boy, them neighbours!!

You'll just have to keep looking Keg. Maybe one of his kids will show up next year.

Congrats to your neighbour and hope to see a pic. 176 is an impressive deer.

Very impressive. Not to worry though. There are a couple of decent bucks left.
No where near 170 but I was looking for a meat buck anyway.

Besides, it looks like my season is over. I'm on night shift now and the forecast is for snow every day into next week. By the time I get off night shift and the weather gives me a break it'll be all over.

It's been like this ever since I took this job ten years ago. If I was a twenty years younger I'd quit this job and go back to the patch. I'd get a lot more hunting time. But a lot less satisfaction from my work. I guess I can live with job satisfaction, and do my hunting with my camera.
