Default fall bear season

I noticed that in the book the fall bear season starts sept. 6, but online it is sept. 1. As far as I can remember, opening day always been on the 1st.

I will call fish and wildlife later, but in the mean time, I wander if anyone call to confirm?

thanks,

Depends on the zone you are in I would think. Season dates are all in the guide which is available on line

Way to early to think about Fall bears. Another month.

Thinking in terms of hide quality here. Taxidermists charge the same for a poor hide as a good one. But, if it's your first one, any bear is a good one.

Our season in sask has been open for almost 10 days. I have several bears hitting baits and their hide is unreal already. I find alot of the big ones never really rub out bad and by this time of the year they are fully furred up. We will be sitting next weekend.....only because my bro in law cant come this weekend.

It's never too early for predator control and harvest some meat, the hide has no value for me. But thanks for letting us know, I'm sure a lot of people will take it in consideration.
