Default Bull Moose Down

Drew for moose in K country and finally connected. My buddy called him in. He measures 50.5". We packed him out on foot. Tough zone to hunt, but we never see any other hunters and we nailed two elk out of the same zone last year.

Very nice moose. It should be classified as a Shiras moose I think.

Never hunted down there. Is it open for rifle or is it bow like Canmore ?
Congrats on the nice bull

BTW Which packs did you use to pack him out, I'm still looking for a meat hauler?

Default yep

I was the one in the hunt as well hardest thing ive ever done all foot access, got 2 elk up there last year never even seen a moose in there yesterday, real nice swamp area I called and thrashed up some willows and bango this guy came running in behind some spruce quite as a mouse! few bull grunts and he was barking running down the trail at me and bango my buddy whacked em at 50 yards or so. we packed out about 250lbs between the 2 of us, returned back up with the game cart loaded up back out, the game cart with 350 400lbs on it going down hill nearly killed the 2 of us. this was even harder than the elk last year!! ausome time and memories tho!!!!

Good moose, congrats. All that work will make the meat taste much better and the memories keener.
I shot a big whitetail in KCountry last year...Lots of work hauling a deer outta there, I can only imagine your pain.
How many yrs waiting for the gun draw in there?.
