Default X-mas wish list

It is almost that time .
Just wandering what some of you will be putting on your Christmas wish list after this hunting season.(toys, gadgets, equipment etc...). I will be asking for a field dressing saw to cut pelvis and breast bone. I was thinking of the small wyoming saw. Have any of you had experience with this product? or is there something better?
I am hoping you will respond with enthusiasm, cause i could use more ideas to extend the length of my wish list
Happy hunting.
Guy.

Ah my never ending list of toys I would like......

An Elliptical Crosstrainer would be nice. A new (smaller) digital camera. New gaitors (unsure what brand). Trekking pole(s). A new bow. I'm sure there are more items then that, but that is what comes to mind right away.

Geez I'd better start adding some less expensive things to my list if I hope to actually get something for Christmas.

I want some wool camo and wouldn't mind a spotting scope and a weather station, also one of those game cart and a truck hitch to hang deer / lope and a new hind sight for the bow with some rage broadheads and new carbon arrows. I could go on but just visit Cabellas.

Isn't enough room on this board to say what I want. New truck and trailer would be nice, but will settle for the socks and shirt as usual.

Command start (for diesel) would be nice. Who has one for diesel that they are happy with? Have to give money to my wife and tell her where to get it lol.

I have one on my o4 ford and it works great. The dealership installed it so I of course haven't a clue what it is!

I love mine ehntr but the only problem with diesels is that they don't warm up that much just idling. I'll let mine run for five or 10 minutes when it's cold for the good of the engine but it really doesn't get toasty warm in the cab until you start driving.

I have a high idle programmed in to my "Astro Start". I can bump the idle up to 1100 or 1400 rpm. It warms up pretty good.
My guess is that Ford of yours is only runing on two or three cylinders. You don't get much heat build up when that occurs.

The Ford does bump to 1100 after it idles for a bit. Maybe I'm just a whimp but it doesn't seem all toasty warm when I get in. With that said, definitely a great investment...plus the neighbours love it when it idles for 15 minutes at 4:00am when I'm headed out sheep hunting. Bet they are glad when December rolls around.

You do know the difference between minutes and seconds don't you? Every time I'm riding with you the poor thing get warm up as long as it takes for the wipers to pile all the snow from the windshield on to the hood. And why worry about brushing that off the hood? Few miles on the highway and it is pretty much cleared up. What was your term for driving through this; "blizzard conditioning"?

okay in an attempt to get this thread back on track and away from the SES light switches.
  • G5 Montecs 85 grain.
  • #400 ACE arrows - oh right those aren't for hunting (something about hurling $30 arrows at gophers & deer)
  • Spott-Hogg, Hoggit sight don't need it; just want it.
  • Infrared Game Camera - gotta get me one!

It's kind of like this Dan...when I was a kid, we had a young boy that lived next door who was mentally challenged and all the other kids picked on him. My Mom explained to me that I should be nice to him and explained why he was the way he was. Even though he said some insulting things to me over the years, I remembered my Mom's words and understood that the young boy really had no control over what he said or did sometimes. I kind of look at Chevy drivers the same way.....

Get one of those heaters that run off diesel and keep the antifreeze warm in the diesel truck so they warm up faster. Program them so they do not run all night but start up in the wee hours of the morning. Forget what they are called but seen them on the old Shadetree Mechanic show.

I know a couple guys who have them. As soon as they turn the key there is hot air blowing. I looked at getting one installed last year. They were about $2000 installed.
The two main companies that make them are.
Webasto
www.webastoshowroom.com/blueheat
&
ProHeat
www.teleflexgfi.com/tb_truckheaters.php

Add one of those to my Christmas list too!

lol
Sheep, I will let you have that one. Your one up me with the mentally challenged /Chevy thing. I got nothin.
That's maybe why I never get an presents from my list. I should know better than to pick on others.

I'm a little simpler. Our past couple of Christmases were a bit tight, and this year things are alot better. The only thing I want for Christmas this year is to give my wife and kids their best Christmas ever.........that would be the best gift for me.

I gotta add to my list...
  • a new daypack with a bow/rifle carrier
  • a better heater for my blind
  • a new knife - my elk stole it
  • a taxidermy lesson to mount deer heads
  • a target archers shooters school
  • a CNC mini-mill, what can I say, the possibilities are endless- they were $4000 6 months ago but with the dollar like it is who knows maybe she'll break

This is just the outdoors & hunting stuff I make my lists long & big
