Eco bee easy to install works great.

The nest is pure garbage stay away from them. had 2 of those before I learned my lesson both would work great and then in the middle of the night one would not turn off and the house was 29 the other just wouldn’t turn on.

You looking to monitor or control?

I’ve got this to watch the temp on my house when I go:

Works pretty good. This and a WiFi cam = peace of mind

I tried doing a thermostat but I was having issues with my c-wire (power supply) so I just opted for the monitor.

Default Ecobee

I decided on an ecobee over the nest, mainly based on reviews and cost combined, as well as the idea of an extra room monitor. It's 3 years old, not one issue. Excellent to control and monitor. Best purchase ive made in a long time.

Either way, check this out:

Stay away from Honeywell.

Thermostat works well, but wifi is crap. Will work for a week then crash. Have to do a complete reset every time. So I gave up on the wifi.

Third one, all with same issue.

Too bad, the app was super convenient when working.

Ecobee, I have the ecobee3 with three additional sensors.

The real reason to buy an Ecobee is they're a Canadian Company, stay away from that American crap.

https://www.ecobee.com/ecobee4/

Blurb from site:

Be comfortable in the rooms that matter.

Most thermostats only read the temperature in one place (usually the hallway) which can make other rooms uncomfortable. ecobee4 comes with a room sensor to help manage hot or cold spots.

When you place sensors in your favorite rooms, ecobee4 can read the temperature and detect occupancy. That's how it ensures comfort in the rooms that matter.

Maybe it's your wifi, have 2 honeywells running 2 A/C/furnaces, without issue for the last 2 years.

I had the same experience, got it for $99 and they had a rebate so basically free once the cheque came in. Not worth it. Should have spent extra and gotten a Nest or Ecobee
