Good day, I would like to start bow hunting maybe next year not this coming season. I have no bow experience and i was looking to you guys that have tons of experience. What would be the best starter kit tips and tricks.
I don't just want to go to go to cabellas or wholesale sports and have the sales guy look at me and feel that he is going to be able to sell me on whatever just because i have no idea what i am looking for.

Thanks

I would suggest going to Jimbows in edmonton, they will let you try out different models of bows and help you learn how to shoot. Carson and Dave are great guys

X2 on Jimbows. Try as many bows as you can. Pick what feels the best to you in your price range. There are some great RAK (Ready Aim Kill) packages out there.

Default Carbon ICON

I have never shot the package personally but have heard really good things about the Carbon Icon and the package it comes with. Might be worth a look.

I was in the same boat as you last fall. Went into Jimbows let them know i knew nothing about compound bows. First question I was asked was if I had a budget in mind. When I told them I wanted to stay under a 1000 they showed me three different packages in that price range. I will say there was no pressure to get a more expensive bow just good advice. I would take a serious look at what you want to spend first. And go from there, there's a lot of good packages at a wide variety of price points.
