I remeber the one-armed recurve shooter, after all he beat me in the fun shoot!...in Fairview.

That was when I was new at this game. An acc does not let as much water out of the bottle as big wooden arrows, nor does a compound lend itself to rapid fire!.....

Those shoots were a blast!...

It was the Fairview shoot I was out shot at too. I was in a group of traditional shooters and we had a blast that day. I remember that guy well.

Hey Gord, Good to see ya, well kinda, again. How did you end up? Heidi really improved over the weekend. He best round was a 144 with 2 missed targets. Myself, after Saturday i was 15th. Then I shot a bad round, lots of 5's, on Sunday and ended up 34th. Oh well. Also finished 7th in the Cash shoot... So wasnt to bad after all. It was good to see Heidi improve so much over the weekend. She really enjoys the 3D, and especially like spicking on the Turkeys now. She loves the way they shake when you hit them ... LOL

Hopefully those guys didnt ruin it for you. Not everyone was like that. Trevor and Tim the 2 guys we shot with over the weekend were quite fun to shoot with, so they are not all so bad. Most archers at these tournaments will be very friendly. Even more so when they see you around more.

Good luck in future shoots, hope to shoot with you again.

I didn't even check the standings. Didn't know they had them, just another thing I did not know.

All and all I had a good time and will go back. Good to meet you and Heidi. Glad to hear Heidi was enjoying the sport and getting better .... you can always get better is this sport.

Are the standings online somewhere?

Just noticed you are from Edmonton. Cool, we should go out to pipestone now and then and shoot the 3D course, you up for that?
