Default Slings for your compound

Hey guys, I have a bowtech assasin and I was just curious if any of you use slings when doing a spot and stalk and if some are better than others? 1st year bow hunting and I noticed it doesnt take long for your arm to get tired while carrying it. Thanks!

I didn't think the Assassin's were supposed to be heavy

LOL. Just kidding. I usually like my bow free and in my hand when I get close or while calling. I don't want to mess with a sling when stuff starts to happen.
When I'm on a long hike I use the Primo's bow sling that covers up the cams and keeps the crud out.

Default What I use

I use a belt key keeper/clip. Wrapped in hockey tape for no sharp edges. If my fingers get tired or sore from carrying I clip the bow in for awhile and just hold the front end to balance. Or if I am glassing I can clip it in and it balances fairly well on it's own leaving both hands free to glass. 1 less thing to get in the way and when I am not using it I don't even know it is there.

Cheers

I too have a primos sling and use it when I feel the need. I do like carrying the bow though, and usually just end up throwing it on my shoulder. Stubborn I guess.😉

A long hike across a field or in the dark it gets strapped on the super day. Walking game trail or cutline its in my hand.

Heh, same here, for the most part. I use the sling if I expect to be using my hands for something else, or on long hikes in.

Like many others, I use the primos bow sling; always have it with me on walks even if i dont end up using it (small and light)

I also use the Big Game Treestand Bow Harness; helps me keep the bow at the ready and takes the weight off on long walks
